Our state-of-the-art laser produces a highly focused beam of light that is absorbed by dark pigment in the hair follicle. Laser energy is converted to heat and destroys the follicle, impeding its ability to generate a new hair. Since many hair follicles can be treated at once, laser hair removal treatments are appropriate for large areas such as the legs, thighs, and back.

We use a cooling hand piece to soothe your skin during the procedure, making it suitable for even sensitive skin. Many people compare the sensation to the snap of a rubber band. Most patients report that any discomfort experienced is tolerable, and well worth the great results they achieve. For more sensitive patients, anesthetic creams can be applied prior to the Permanent Laser hair removal treatment. Expect to resume your normal activities after your treatments.

Permanent Laser hair removal treatment is most effective when treating hairs in the active growth phase as opposed to the dormant phase of the hair growth cycle.  Since hair follicles cycle through "active" and "dormant" phases, it will be necessary to have multiple laser treatments over a period of several months. Usually, we recommend between 5-8 visits for best results per area. Some areas of the body may require fewer sessions. Periodic scheduled services allow us to effectively treat all new hair growth as it comes to the surface of your skin, ensuring a favorable result. For best results it is important to avoid waxing or tweezing for 3-4 weeks and sun tanning for two weeks prior to your treatment. It's a good idea to shave the area being treated the day before your appointment.
